In a new year and a new era for Cornerstone in our new home, it’s time to update our photo directory! If you have any recent changes to your contact information or are new and would like to be included, please see Elizabeth Hughes. We’d also like to take updated or new photos! New directories will be available soon.

Orders are due on April 7th, and flowers will be available for pickup on Easter weekend. Thank you for your support of this fundraiser!
Our church will collect for One Great Hour of Sharing (OGHS), a special offering of PC(USA), on Palm Sunday and Easter. Fish banks are available for the kids to collect loose change over the next few weeks as part of the OGHS offering. A gift to OGHS enables the church to share God’s love with our neighbors-in-need around the world by providing relief to those affected by natural disasters, provide food to the hungry, and helping to empower the poor and oppressed. Please return fish banks to church on Palm Sunday or Easter. Thank you! Click here to read more about the OGHS offering.
We have raised more than $13,000 through our ongoing Shop Rite Gift Card fundraiser! Gift cards are available for you to purchase each Sunday before worship, and 5% of the purchase price goes directly to the church. Thanks to all, we have raised $13,330 for the Foundation Fund. For more information, contact Vernice DaConceicao.
There will be a new Lenten Bible Study for all adults starting March 2nd and 3rd, with two weekly opportunities to participate – before worship on Saturdays at 4 PM or after worship on Sundays. Please consider setting aside time during these six weeks to discover how God is reaching out to connect with you, and discover just how great God’s love is for you! Experience ways you can be more aware of this amazing truth through scriptures and time of reflection with John Ortberg and a bible study group discussion led by Rev. Tory Pruner. (Note: if you are unable to attend either of these times, please let Rev Pruner know of your interest and availability.)
SAVE THE DATE for the VIP Water Walk on May 18 at Allentown Presbyterian Church!
The Women’s Bible Study meets on Tuesday mornings at 10:30 AM at the home of Elizabeth Hughes. The group is doing the study “Seamless: Understanding the Bible as One Complete Story,” by Angie Smith. All women are welcome! Talk to Elizabeth to order a member guide or if you would like more information. We’re also planning two bus trips this spring and all are invited to join us! On Tuesday, March 5th we will go to the Philadelphia Flower Show, and on April 2nd we will go see “Jesus” at the Sight and Sound Theater in Lancaster, PA. Flyers and registration forms are available!
Road Cleanup May 11 We once again have an opportunity to clean a Jackson road, and this time we can earn $500 for our church! This year, we are required to have a team of 5-8 people. We will meet on May 11th at 9:00 am at the Jackson Senior Center for a buffet breakfast, a quick orientation, road assignments and clean up supplies. Sign ups will be in April.
Shoe Donations Needed! A local Girl Scout is organizing a gently-used/new shoe drive as part of her Gold Award Project. She will take both kid and adult shoes of any type – sneakers, boots, flip flops, cleats, sandals, basically anything you can wear on your feet. She’ll earn money by the pound and her goal is to collect 2500 pairs of shoes. The money that she raises will be used to promote literacy and purchase books for local children. Please consider supporting this effort if you have shoes to donate! Donations can be dropped off in the collection bin in the sanctuary. Thank you for your support.
Our Per Capita Offering is being collected for 2019. Per capita is an amount of money per member (this year, $40.00) that our congregation pays to our larger Presbyterian Church (U.S.A.). This offering allows us to work with other churches to further the mission of Jesus Christ around the world. Per Capita also helps to prepare future ministers to faithfully answer their call from God. As Presbyterians, we believe that we need each other as we work together to and discern the mind of Christ for the PC(USA). We encourage all members to make their Per Capita offering at your earliest convenience – it can be given all at once or in small increments throughout the year. Please place your offering in the offering plate marked “per capita.” Thank you!
